The Happy Beggar
Prashant and Ausma were beloved of Pelor, acting as his paladins in the fight against the dark, evil things of this world. Unfortunately, they weren’t very good at it. If not for eachothers healing touch, the two would have died many a time facing creatures they had no business fighting. And so, one day, Pelor took pity on their incompetence and sent a dream that guided Prashant and Ausma to an ancient treasure trove filled with the most weak and decrepit of skeletons. They easily vanquishing the undead, and collected more gold in one day than they’d seen in their entire lives. Pelor then sent them a vision of themselves in an almshouse, unarmed and serving tea to the poor. Prashant and Ausma took this as a sign that it was time to give up their heavily damaged armor, and serve Pelor as they had seen in the vision. They founded the Happy Beggar, giving out tea and gruel while preaching the glory of Pelor’s radiance.
Unknown to the retired Paladins, the Happy Beggar’s basement holds more than old oats(which smell suspiciously of cat urine).
