The Gowdai Mountains, or more commonly just the “Gowdai”, are an chain of mountain running roughly north-south, and marks the eastern border of the Trava plain. It is not currently known how wide the mountain range is, and no one has completed a successful crossing in centuries. In most cases, this is because merchants or travelers turned back before finding a passage through. Any maps they created are disorganized messes of peaks and valleys, and unlikely to be helpful.
Old texts speak of people and kingdoms and empires which existed on the other side, but it is unlikely that any of these still exist. An age has passed since those accounts were written.
